A student may request to change modules, up to a maximum of 30 credits, by the end of week two of teaching.

It is the student’s responsibility to check the programme handbook to ensure that the module they are requesting to change is available on their programme and they meet the pre-requisite requirement if applicable.

FAQs

How do I request to change a module?

To request a module change, you will need to download the Module Change Form below and complete the information, save a copy and email it to hls.advice.centre@dmu.ac.uk with the subject heading Module Change Request by the above dates.

How will I be notified of the decision?

If the change is approved, the Faculty Office will update your record accordingly which will update Blackboard and mydmu. A notification will go to the Timetabling office who will amend your timetable to reflect the change.

If the change is NOT approved, the Faculty Office will inform you by email of the reason why the change cannot be processed.

How long will it take for the module change to go through?

We endeavour for the change/update to take place within 5 working days from receiving your form.

Please Note:  It is your responsibility to complete all required sections of the form, any sections left incomplete may result in a delay with processing your request.   At the start of term we are inundated with requests and although we aim to process the change of module requests within 5 working days there may be a slight delay, which we apologise for and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
