To maintain consistent group sizes within events it is imperative that students remain in their timetabled slot. We nevertheless accept that occasionally, due to extenuating personal circumstances students need to permanently move events. Providing the event the student is joining is not full and the change does not cause a clash with any other event on their timetable in any week, a change can be requested subject to the following criteria:

  1. Extenuating circumstances must fall into the following categories:
    1. Carer
    2. Childcare
    3. Disability/Health Conditions
  2. Provide third party evidence of your circumstances

FAQs

How do I request to change tutorials/seminars?

You will need to complete the above form, include your evidence and send to hls.advice.centre@dmu.ac.uk

How will I be notified of the decision?

If there is capacity in the classroom, your timetable will automatically be updated.  If there is not enough capacity, timetabling will let us know and we will inform you via email.

How long will it take for the module change to go through?

The process can take up to 3 weeks.

Please Note:  It is your responsibility to complete the form fully, any sections left uncompleted may result in a delay with processing your request.   At the start of term we are inundated with requests and although we aim to process the change of tutorial/seminar requests within 3 weeks there may be a slight delay, which we apologise for and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
