A student may request to change their programme by the end of week two of teaching, and exceptionally by the end of week four.
At the end of a level of study an undergraduate student may request a transfer to another programme once they have received their ratified assessment results. This will only be considered if the request is academically appropriate and:
·       The student’s ratified results would allow progression to the next level of study on their original programme
·       The student has met the requirements to repeat the level as per regulation 126 (level 4 only)

Students on apprenticeship programmes may not change their programme as outlined in this regulation.

A postgraduate student may request a transfer to another programme within the first two weeks from the start of the course and exceptionally by the end of week four.

All programme changes require approval of the releasing and receiving programme leader and Associate Dean (Academic) or nominee.

FAQs How do I request to change my programme?

To request a change of programme, you will need to complete the above form. The form needs to be signed by the receiving and releasing Programme Leaders and returned to hls.advice.centre@dmu.ac.uk with the subject heading Change of Programme Request by Friday 15 October 2021 UG and Friday 11th February 2022 PG January starters.

How will I be notified of the decision?

If the change is approved, the Faculty Office will update your record accordingly which will update Blackboard and MyDMU.  A notification will go to the Timetabling office who will amend your timetable to reflect the change.

How long will it take for the programme change to go through?

We endeavour for the change to take place within 7 working days from receiving your form.

Please Note:  It is your responsibility to complete all required sections of the form, any sections left incomplete may result in a delay with processing your request.. At the start of term we are inundated with requests and although we aim to process requests within 7 working days there may be a slight delay, which we apologise for and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
